If you really want to go long term about the blogging then it will be a ok to go for own domain at later stage but the best way to start with free blog hosting sites. Few of them are wordpress.com, blogger.com (google), tumblr.com, weebly.com and there are many more. Your need to register free on these websites. If you have gmail then you can use your Gmail id for blogger. There are limitations on free blog hosting like you cannot get the domain of your choice but it is tied with the original site. For example you can get myblog.blogspot.com or webtrainer.tumblr.com not. Free blogs may be removed if the post is not suitable as per the blog site policy or blocked if traffic increases too much and also with free blogs it is difficult to get the google ad sense account approved and if you earn by other ad providers then generated revenue will be shared with the blog provides. Beside of the drawback there is no doubt that these platforms are excellent for beginners.
